The intermediate cars General Motors built off its front-drive A platform from 1982 to 1996 weren’t necessarily the most exciting cars on earth, but they do last. My aunt owns a 1987 Chevrolet Celebrity that she bought when it was already more than twenty years old.

This Buick Century is an example of GM’s A team. The roofline indicates that this car would be anywhere between a 1989 and a 1996 model. This generation of car is not so much a fifth-generation Century as it is the fifth car to wear the Century nameplate. (There’s only been one Chevrolet Celebrity.)
